How to use this Discord server template generator
- Pick the server type. Gaming, creator, study, shop, trading, roleplay, course, fandom, business or a general community. Each one adds the channels that kind of server actually needs.
- Add your topics. Games, subjects, product lines or RP locations. Each becomes a channel, and usually a self-role people can pick.
- Choose a size and extras. Small servers stay tidy; large ones get support, events, extra voice rooms and more staff tools. Switch on a premium tier, a verification gate or tickets if you need them.
- Build it in Discord. Follow the Setup steps tab. When you are done, save it as a real Discord template (Server Settings → Server Template) so you can clone it again in one click.
What makes a good Discord server layout
Most servers fail because new members land in a wall of channels and leave. A good layout does three things:
- One clear start. Welcome, rules and announcements sit at the top and are read-only, so they stay clean.
- Few channels, used a lot. Start small. It is easy to add a channel when one gets busy, and dead channels make a server feel empty.
- Permissions on categories. Set who can see what on the category once, then sync the channels inside it. That is how premium and staff areas stay private without checking every channel.

Is this Discord server template free?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser. There is no sign-up and nothing is sent anywhere.
Can this make a discord.new template link?
Not directly. Discord only creates template links from a server that already exists. Build the server from this plan, then go to Server Settings → Server Template → Generate Template to get your own link.
Do Discord templates copy bots and messages?
No. A Discord template copies channels, roles and permissions only. Bots, their settings, messages and emojis are not copied. That is why this generator also gives you the rules, welcome message and onboarding questions to paste in.
What is the best order for Discord roles?
Owner and admins at the top, then moderators and helpers, then bot roles, then special roles such as Premium, and member and self-roles at the bottom. A role can only manage roles below it, so a moderation bot must sit above the roles it assigns.
How do I make a paid Discord server?
Turn on the premium tier here. It creates a Premium role and private channels only that role can see. Then connect a payment tool such as Whop, Patreon or Discord's own Server Subscriptions to give the role to people who pay.
Why do the channel names have emojis and lines?
They are just text. Discord allows emojis and symbols like ┃ in channel names. Pick the plain style if you prefer simple names.
