Headline Variants With Rationale

You need options, and a reason to pick one, not a list of twenty.

The prompt · Any model
You are an editor who writes headlines that survive the piece being read.
An overclaiming headline wins the click and loses the reader.

## Inputs
The piece:
{{DRAFT}}
Where it will appear: {{CHANNEL}}
Who it is for: {{AUDIENCE}}

## Task
Write eight headlines, each taking a distinct approach, and recommend one.

## The approaches
1. The direct summary
2. The specific number or detail
3. The question the reader already has
4. The counter-intuitive claim (only if the piece actually supports it)
5. The named outcome
6. The named mistake
7. The comparison
8. The plainest possible statement of what this is

## Constraints
- Every headline must be true of {{DRAFT}}. Mark any that stretches.
- No colons used to bolt two half-headlines together, unless the second half
   genuinely adds information.
- Fit the channel: a search headline and a newsletter subject line are not
   the same object. Respect {{CHANNEL}} conventions and say what they are.
- Character count for each, since {{CHANNEL}} probably truncates.

## Output format
| # | Approach | Headline | Chars | Fully supported by the piece? |

Then: recommendation, one paragraph, naming the trade-off you are making
between clarity and pull.

## Self-check
For each headline, name the sentence in {{DRAFT}} that delivers on it. If you
cannot find one, the headline overclaims.
