Frequently asked questions
Do I actually own the website?
Yes — completely. The site is built on your hosting, your domain and your accounts. At handover you get every login. Nothing is held hostage, and you can walk away or move developer at any time.
What about premium plugin licences?
Any premium plugin or theme your site needs is purchased in your name, on your own account, so the licence belongs to you and updates and support come direct from the vendor. I can buy and set them up for you and include the cost in the quote, or you can buy them yourself and I’ll configure them — your choice.
How long does a build take?
A Starter site is usually about a week, Business around two weeks and a Store roughly three, from the point I have your content. If you need it faster, say so up front and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s realistic.
What do you need from me to start?
Your logo, brand colours if you have them, the text and images for each page, and an example of a site you like the look of. If your content isn’t ready I can build with placeholders and drop the real content in later.
Do you fix existing sites, or only build new ones?
Both. Speed problems, broken layouts, plugin conflicts, failed updates and hacked sites are all things I take on as one-off jobs — see the add-ons above.
How do I pay?
50% to book the work in, 50% on completion before launch. Add-ons and care plans are paid up front. Send an enquiry through the form on this page and I’ll reply with the payment details that suit you.
